New adventures await the Kermenski Family as they go on vacation in a town not far away.

The kids on vacation, a fine summer day.

Strolled through the yard, towing mom and a dad.

Maddie’s ahead, she brooks no delay,

The twins right behind, all clad in their plaid.

It’s Maddi and Levi and Jack in the back,

hittin’ the water with a very big THWACK!

Soon, barely past breakfast,

There was a big splash

Neighbors took interest

And soon made a dash

They looked out their windows.

Who made such a splash?

It sounded like hippos

Havin’ a bash.

The sun is so warm, the water so cool,

soon all the kids were swimming around

Splashing with joy, totally unwound,

who but a fool wouldn’t jump in the pool

It’s just Jack and Levi

and big sister Maddie.

A bubble of hustle, always willin’ to try,

she’s swimmin’ around, watchin’ her Daddy

Soon everyone knew, who’s in the pool,

T’was their new neighbors, lookin’ so cool.

It’s Maddie and Levi and Jack in the back,

Daddy’s hittin’ the water with a very big thwack.

The sun is so warm, the water so cool,.

Soon all the kids were swimming around

Splashing with joy, totally unbound

Who but a fool wouldn’t jump in the pool

Shouting and squealin’, nary a frown

Over there’s little Jack, always the clown

Here’s his big sister not wearing a crown

Levi yelled out, “Hey, look what I found!”.

We all looked around, to see what he spied

A mask and some flippers right at poolside

Levi swam over and tried what he’d spied

He put them all on, he’d give them a try

Some worms we would need

plus a hook and a rod

And then we’d proceed

To fish for some cod

Out on the beach, under the sky

We baited our hooks and cast into the sea

We cast and we cast and soon we did spy

A splash in the ocean, we shouted with glee

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

A Trip to the Store

We’re out of cereal, we need to buy more.

Let’s ask our mom to drive to the store.

We got to the store and opened the door,

Then ran down the aisle to locate some more.

Picked up the cereal and finished that chore.

And when we got home we started to pour.

Even spilling a little, right onto the floor,

But inside the bowl, we had cereal galore.

I laced them up tight, they fit me just right

I walked down the aisle, they made quite a sight.

I looked at my shoes, now almost too bright

Right on my toes, were flashing some lights.

Mom took me out, shopping for shoes.

She said I could pick out, shoes that I choose

I looked on the shelf and picked out a pair

I put them right on, I thought they had flair

Jack ran up and into the barn.

He looked all around that barn on the farm.

Jack saw the cow and asked her what’s new?

The cow looked at Jack and only said “moo”.

Visiting that Barn on the Farm

A neighbor nearby had a nice farm.

And on that farm there was a red barn.

In the farm’s barn there was an old cow.

Munching on hay next to a plow.

Jack ran upstairs and into the loft

He started to sneeze and finally he coughed

The dust from the hay made his cheeks turn all red,

And tears ran down his sneezy, young head.

Jack quickly got down and then ran outside

He took a deep breath but suddenly spied

A horse over yonder with a long bushy tail

Drinking some water from a big yellow pail

 Rachel the Blacksmith

From the end of the barn came a loud clink,

Who’s doing what and what should Jack think?

He ran toward the sound and found in a blink

it’s Rachel the blacksmith, her anvil quite pink

She hammers and hammers and hammers away

To fashion a horseshoe with no further delay.

Old Sally, the horse, really needs it today

to replace the one that came off in some clay

Out in the pasture, Sal was a fine horse.

Mostly all white but spotted with black,

and just like a horse, it stood on all fours,

two legs in front and two in the back.

Jack thought “Wow” and threw on some tack.

Then clambered aboard and straddled the saddle.

Giddyap, gidday, Jack showed a real knack,

as he cantered on horseback and let out a yodel.

Now out n the field, Sally roped over,

rolling in clover, Sal spied a big gopher.

The gopher soon said, “hey, Sally, mover over.”

“I wanna get closer to the ‘wunnerful’ clover”.

After the ride Jack burbled with pride.

He took off Sal’s sad and set it aside.

He slipped on her halter and brought her inside,

that barn on the Farm where Sally resides.

Mumching and munching she ate quite a bunch.

Sal kept on a-crunching and soon finished her lunch.

Then she scrunched down to nap after brunch.

Maybe she munched way too much lunch
